INDIAN NATIONAL MARRIED TO AN EU CITIZEN-LIFE IN THE UK TEST

I am an Indian national married to an EU citizen, we have a child together born in the UK, my visa is due to expire in April 2018, and I shall want to apply for an 'Indefinite Leave to Remain' do I still have to apply for the life in the UK test? I know that this is a requirement when applying for nationality.
